good post.

they did a great job, cocaine was worth 200 million!!

200 MILLION worth of cocaine?????????

Maybe NOW the brits can pay back some of that money they owe us YANKS!!!!!!!!;)

Britain is the US's 3rd largest CREDITOR.

"We owe Japan over $700 billion. We owe China, now, almost $200 billion. I am reading a book on George Washington. He would be turning in his grave to think our country owes Great Britain $171 billion." Sen. K. Conrad (N.D.).

Foreigners are financing the US government's spending spree to the extent of around $1.3Billion every day.

Most of the worlds debt is owed to Japanese housewives.

Did you know that?

Just seen on the news, royal navy pursued a speedboat with a helicopter and a support frigate. Snipers onboard the helicopter disabled the four engines and were able to seize the cargo and presumably catch the smugglers ;) It was a huge cocaine bust!!

Sort of things you see in the movies!

GOOD WORK LADS & LASSES!

Yeah, wonderful expenditure of lives and resources, this "Drug War"... :S

Sounds like a bunch of over-macho guys trying to play commando. This helps society how, exactly? There won't be another boat to raid, and another, and another...? And this IS keeping the country utterly free of illegal drugs, right? :|

The picture attached to this post was taken in 2002. These are the warning shots used prior to the disabling fire. Approximately six months after this photo was taken, the only US unit authorized to use this doctrine hosted a visit by a contingent of British sailors interested in engaging in the same tactics. These go-fasts run everyday, so I guess the question is, "What took you guys so long?"

BTW, between 2001 and 2004, this unit interdicted $1.5B worth of cocaine. Thank you.
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

How much you wanna bet the sniper rifles were made in the U.S.?

what is described int he article action taken wise is exactly how the US Coast Guard does it using a Barrett .50 cal rifle, notice not the M2 machine gun to disable the engines, good job for the Limey's but it is still a play from the yanks book;)
