councilman24 37 #26 June 10, 2008 Yep, find the rigger, get the 20 pack job, GET THE FAA INSPECTOR ENDORSEMENT on the form, MEL what #, that allows you to take the test. Then go find your DPRE. I don't know about the base rig chest mount currently for sale, which seem to be a Strong Pop Top, but back in the olden days no chest mount could take a ram air because of the consequences of only having one riser hooked up. Round will still save you. Ram Airs may screw you into the ground.I'm old for my age. Terry Urban D-8631 FAA DPRE
masterrigger1 2 #27 June 10, 2008 Quote Also about the UCC chest mount, is it built to take a ram-air reserve or only rounds? I am pretty sure both, but I could be wrong. Quote I guess since there are no chest or seat DPREs anywhere near me, DPRE's are not termed as "Back, Seat, chest, and etc.... If you find a DPRE, he or she can test you on what ever rating you need. I will look at it, as I never thought about testing a Lap applicant. Most DPRE's have three ratings, Back, Seat, and Chest.
