Daizey 0 #1 October 26, 2005 Haha, well, I guess it's not mine exactly nor was it really a birthday gift, but it's ours as of last night! Isn't it pretty? It's even got some spare room so if anyone is ever in the Columbus, OH area and needs a place to stay, look us up Overall it's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, on about a 1/4 acre of property. It has a finished basement and a fireplace in the living room and a great big deck out back and it's gorgeous!! Now comes the fun part-painting, decorating, and furnishing it! Then once that's done, you're all invited to the house warmng party *daizey*

bisqit999 0 #10 October 26, 2005 how are the prices in Ohio compared to NY? You'd have to be a millionaire to own a house like that on Long Island... sad thing is I ain't kiddin
missg8tordivr 0 #11 October 26, 2005 Very nice, Congrats! Now you just have to deal with the never ending projects and chores that come with such a wonderful purchase. *** F LORIDA!
Daizey 0 #12 October 26, 2005 Ohio is sooo much cheaper. When we realized that we were going to have to decide between NY and OH the obvious choice was Ohio. That particular house was less than $200,000. In Long Island it would be a $600,000 house easily. Looking at houses this summer (and we must've looked at hundreds and saw in person over 50) I was amazed at how much you could get for your money. And we were looking in the city too. Had we looked outside of Columbus the prices get cheaper. I hate to leave NY but it just makes so much more sense. The median prices on Long Island just hit $500,000!! Upstate NY is not quite as bad, but its still not practical. There's no way I could continue living here. Especially considering the salaries of my profession are an average difference of $1,000 between Long Island and Columbus. *daizey*

So how come we havent received our wedding invites? thats expensive for a house in arkansas! My first house (a duplex) was 1450 sq/ft per side w/ 2-two car garages and I only paid 90,000. then i moved to a 900 sq ft house that was less than a year old on 1.4 acres for 62,500. tell me I didnt get a suprise when i started pricing in Atlanta!
