swoopster33 0 #1 October 20, 2005 Yesterday Mile Hi Skydiving flew the Otter to Tylertown Mississippi and picked up 22 dogs, 15 cats and 3 gerbils from the humane society of Mississippi. These are all animals that have been displaced by hurricane Katrina. The plane is scheduled to land at the Loveland / Fort Collins airport today between 4 and 5 pm. The animals will be greeted by the staff of the Wright Pet Clinic in Fort Collins Colorado and after getting the care they need will be placed up for adoption. This is a very cool thing and the the people that made this happen deserve to hear about it!

flyangel2 2 #4 October 20, 2005 That is great news to hear. How unselfish of those involved. Makes me want to head out there today to see the pets, but I better stay away since I already have a full house of rescued animals.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

swoopster33 0 #8 October 21, 2005 The otter is flying great mark, very fast to alt. The pets arived at 4:15, very scared and a little shaken, but alive and well. They all have foster familes for the next 90 days while they are on "pet finder.com". If their familes can not be located after 90 days, they will be up for adoption. Seeing the pets come off of the plane was a very cool thing. I know what you mean mary, it was hard not to take a few home myself. JT
