Trained as a classical pianist for 10 years but knew I didn't want to make it a career.
Enjoy working out but know I couldn't do it for a job.
Dance when out with friends to go dancing but couldn't see me making a life out of it.
Photographer - still dabble a bit...not as much as I'd like, yet.
Grew up and went to cosmetology school so that I could do hair. Got into the business and found out it wasn't for me.
Worked for a bit and found out that I loved making computers do what they say they can't. Went into programming for a few years.
Got sick of being laid off and decided to finally follow one of my original dreams and go back to school to become a vet. So, now I'm on the path of becoming a vet and will enjoy the fruits of my labor in approximately 6 years.

I wanted to be a computer geek ever since I remember, but the consulting has been a plus.

Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all. -Hellen Keller
Psst........
Put a space between your sig line and the body of your thread. Or else people will continue to read it when they are reading your post, and after some time, they are going to get upset because they are reading it over and over again. That is unless you are Helen Keller and you are trying to draw some kind of parallel to being a flight attendant and having an adventure in your life

What are your job duties for that one, and how do your bosses evaluate you?

well when i was little i wanted to be an astronaut, and now i'm a train conductor... so i guess instead of ridingin a spaceship i ride in a train... not to bad, it pays well and didn't require me to take any 400 level math classes... but we'll see i'm working twords going to school, then i will really have to figure out what i want to do...

Not even close. My job makes those who knew me then laugh their asses off. I wanted nothing to do with making clothes when I was a kid; today I make jumpsuits.

THAT'S what I want to do.

QuoteMy dreams of finding a Sugar Daddy so I'd never have to work still haven't panned out for me.
Skymama, once I make it big I’d love to be your sugar daddy

Keep the PM (Program Manager) happy. Make sure you get the songs in your mix that the PM has asked for (to keep ratings up), don't let you shit sound sloppy, and keep the flow movin'.
Most "Mix Shows" are pre-recorded, as were many of mine. Spend 2 to 3 hours for every hour you have brodcast, and that doesn't include time spent finding music. Did I mention the pay sucks?

Naw, that's more the response from a club owner or event promoter.......

You're not as good as you think you are. Seriously.

Always knew I'd be involved in something engineering-based. Spent the last five years working as a software developer & now run a development team. 50% coding, 50% management. Just about right at the moment.
As for the future, who knows. We'll see...

QuoteJust wondering. . .
considering that I wanted to be a pcikle; no, I am not doing what I wanted to do when I grew up.
but I am a fairly talented musician,. I traveled to foreign lands and enjoyed other cultures, I've been snowboarding in 2 countries (Could've been more but I didnt board at the time) everyday I actively take part in ensuring america is safe. on many frdiay evenings I donate 3-4 hours to help out a local homeless shelter that I otherwise have no affiliation with. I've been a published author of my own creative writings on at least three occasions.( not counting letters to publications that have been printed, I mean articles and creative writings) I have seen my name in laser lights in washington D.C. b/c one of theose writings.I've hung sideways on rock faces just because I felt like it and I have even been known to jump out of an airplane on occasion.
all in all, I would say my life is and has been pretty "fuckn A "cool. I have also seen my share of low's

so you also didn't get that job either - I wonder how many of us are applying for the few vacancies there are in the business of being the wife of a sugar daddy....
tash

Probably not.
I wanted to be a fireman. I am currently a full time Skydiving and Wind Tunnel instructor, among other lables.
They've changed, and the constantly do.... I've never been one to think "I can't do that". I've been a Pro Radio Mix Show DJ, Resturaunt Manager, Record Store Manager, Night Club DJ, Office manager for several skydiving related businesses, gear sales associate, business owner, ect.....
Time is one of the most valuable comodities we own. I quit some jobs because I didn't have the time to enjoy life, and you can't get it back......
