Maybe your dog wouldn't act 'retarded' if you gave him a name!! You never mentioned his name! What's his name? What's his name? What's his naaaaaaaaaaaaaame?? He's adorable--just like his Daddy! To Carbonezone: Niles (my doggie) and I went thru something similar a month ago--a pitbull got him and I never saw anything as vicious! The girl who was walking him was doing it as a favor to the owner and met the dog THAT DAY. She was in such shock (I had to pull the dog off Niles) she didn't even know the dogs name to command him to stop. It was ghastly--but Niles suffered only scratches, small punctures and bruising. I took it harder and you're right about the helplessness (the pit was crunching him!!). Looking at your dogs pics made my heart beat race a bit. He will be fine but a little more wary of other dogs. Change is not always bad; thank God you still have him and he knows that you took care of him when he was injured. Dogs don't forget that. Niles got salami and TONS of apologizes and kisses and rubs from me at the hospital. I spoke to the owner--he felt bad and I met him the next day and gave him the bill and told him I don't care if he or the girl pays it, but if its not paid I'll sue HIM. He made the girl pay it and he and I have become friends since but I don't interact with his dog (I grabbed him and slammed him a few times at the incident) and I don't let Niles NEAR him and I'm not pushing for a friendship there--NO way! I've been sick and spend all my time torturing..I mean PLAYING with Niles. Here he is in his 'no-licking-your-sutures' panties. You can see how much he likes them. A speedy recovery to both your doggie and you, Carbone.~~April Camelot II, the Electric Boogaloo!
