Uh, guys?

Ever heard of a little film called "Dr. Strangelove"? I can't believe no one's mentioned that one.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room!

LOL...

"I want my two dollars!"

:D

Oh man. I was teenager and then went to university in the 80's. Going to the movies as a student cost almost nothing. I was averaging more than a movie a day in the cinema my first year! St. Elmo's Fire was the first movie I saw when I just arrived on campus.

[BEER] To good times y'all!

For all of you 80's cult classic lovers. Has anyone seen "Better of Dead" with John Cusack?

You answered your own question - one can't be an 80's classic lover without Better Off Dead!!

"Fraunch Fries, Fraunch bread, Fraunch dressing, and to drink, Peru!"

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

So many to choose from, I'll do it by decades I've lived in.

50s To Kill A Mockingbird (its worth the rental to see a VERY young Robert Duvall)
60s The Great Escape (Steve McQueen jumping a motorcycle, need I say more?)
70s Animal House (too funny)
80s Christmas Vacation (we still watch it every year at Christmas)
90s Forrest Gump (man, that dude was every where!)
00s The Passion of the Christ (JC is da man!)

Has anyone heard of Youngblood??
Awesome 80's hockey movie.

Don't think I saw that one, but my personal favorite is "Slapshot". Perhaps the greatest and funniest hockey movie ever made! Who could forget the Hanson triplets?!? :D:D:D

Since the majority seem to be comedys, I'll throw these into the mix:

Hot Shots
Hot Shots Part Deux

For the "true" classics.... I'm surprised nobody has mentioned:

Sound of Music
Miracle of the White Stallions
Patton
Mike
I love you, Shannon and Jim.
