Mozencrath 0 #1 July 16, 2008 Way too many pack volume numbers floating around...Anyone have first hand experience as to how much bigger or smaller they pack up compared to PD? Someone told me that PD uses different attachment point mterial that adds alot of bulk, I wonder if this is true. I have a Smart 120 going into a Javeling NJ (pre-k) with a Vigil...Previously had a PD 126R w/o AAD and it packed up REALLY tight. I could personally never get it in. Thanks in advance! ROK 0 #2 July 16, 2008 Don't know if this will help, but I have a TJNK being built. I was told that if I went with an Optimum, I could use a 126, or a 143. The chart quotes up to a 135. If I use a Smart, I'd need to stay right at a 120.
riggerrob 643 #3 July 17, 2008 Smarts pack slightly bigger than Tempos and PD reserves with similar size ratings. The difference in pack volume barely registers on my conscious mind. Sorry, but I have not packed any Optima reserves yet.

skydiverek 63 #5 July 17, 2008 Quote Sorry, but I have not packed any Optima reserves yet. Thank God! 'Optima' is an audible altimeter from L&B. "Count your tools _and_ audibles" . Riggerrob meant 'OPTIMUM' reserve from PD.
