StreetScooby 5 #1 September 23, 2005 So, had to call animal control on my neighbor with the yappy dog the other day. She's now claiming harrassment and a whole bunch of other BS. I'm going to start videoing the dog from my bedroom window. But, I don't want her to see a bulky camera pointing at her yard. I need something small that can keep 1-2 hours of video. Any suggestions on what to buy?We are all engines of karma

chanell 0 #4 September 23, 2005 I'm sure someone out there has a better suggestion, mine i got off ebay, shipped from hong kong, its a ViaCam (or ViCam, i don't remember, im not at home to check), but mine works for its needs, night vision too, and the software it comes with has the monitoring, but i believe the software will allow to use any cam u have hooked up, i haven't tried it yet with my other cam though. but, again, im not a cam expert, nor do i play one on tv, so im sure someone else has a better suggestion.Numero Cinco Rodriguez

StreetScooby 5 #11 September 23, 2005 Excellent question. I specifically asked the Animal Control officer what he thought regarding vido. He said it was a good thing to do. FYI.We are all engines of karma

masterrig 1 #15 September 23, 2005 Nope! My wife, videos the various 'customers' of our neighbor... the drug dealer. We had a couple of big ugly guys stop and tell her they 'didn't like it!'. She showed them her badge and they hauled ass. You can video in-appropriate or un-lawful activity for use in (possible), future litigation or other court matters. You might have to run like hell but, nothing says you can't do it. It can be considered evidence. Chuck

lawrocket 3 #17 September 23, 2005 There are far funner ways to go about this. First, you can simply record the dog barking at night - get a bit of it. Then (after warning the neighbors that this is coming) play back a loop of the dog barking at, oh, about 90 decibels over the neighbor's fence for a couple of hour sin the middle of the night. Another thing you can do is to take some dogshit and rub it in/on/around the airconditioner/heater unit. He whole hous ewill smell like dog poo within minutes, and she'll be stumped at the source. It may be enough for her to let Rover go to the home of a more responsible owner. If she brings the dog in at a regular time (some don't bring their dogs inside at all, so this won't work) simply feed the dog some meat that is laced witha laxative. After seeing what the dog will do to the inside of the house, she may choose to let Rover live with a more responsible owner, as well. My wife is hotter than your wife. I was thinking this, but really don't want to piss off my other neighbors. She keeps it in her backyard, which is right by my bedroom and office. Any way to have a more "directional" effect? I've gone out and googled webcams. My goodness, didn't realize they were that cheap and potent. This is definitely on the horizon, to be done this weekend. Since you''re a lawyer, how do I debunk the accusations that are already coming from her? She told the Animcal Control officer that I was out to get her since our kids don't play well together. Hell, our kids don't play together at all! She sent a scathing email to my wife that was bullshit. She's very litigous, and proud of it. That's one of the reasons I decided _many_ years ago to have _nothing_ to do with her. At this point, I guess all I can do is let her dig a hole for herself and kick in the dirt when the opportunity comes. We are all engines of karma
