We had a big storm a few years back, Tropical Storm Allison, that caused major flooding in Houston, but we were ok in this area, so I'm not expecting any heaving flooding around my immediate area. It's about 2:30am my time and I just got back from driving around to check things out. Virtually every gas station on this side of town is out of gas. Grocery stores are sold out of water. There is a lot of traffic out there. Most people in this part of town are choosing to ride it out, but many are hitting the roads. I expect the major roadways around Houston to be a real madhouse for the next couple of days. I'll be riding it out here and will keep everyone posted as long as I can. I'll also be sure to get plenty of video and stills. BTW, if anyone has any ideas for some high-quality goofing around in high winds, let me know!!!
