AggieDave 6 #4 September 19, 2005 The USMC Silent Drill Team...badass beyond reason! Those guys are very very impressive. Triva: The drill team shown at the beginning of "A Few Good Men" wasn't the USMC's team, it was Texas A&M's Fish Drill Team.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #10 September 19, 2005 Quotethe rifles are m1 garand and they are drilled and cromed will not fire Doing fancy drill with a rifle that is still servicable is a little off, isn't it? Still incredibly impressive. Never mind doing drill with a fixed bayonet, even if it isn't sharp, its hard-core. Have you ever done any sort of real fancy drill, with throws, etc? Not only does the bayonet move the natural balance point of the weapon, but its very very dangerous if you over rotate or under rotate the rifle. Especially in a throw to another member of your team.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
freeflyfree 0 #11 September 19, 2005 At least one of the pics is photoshoped....i think the one with the baby foot, and the one where the cat is being washed. Anvilbrother 0 #12 September 19, 2005 I have seen the baby foot around alot, I question it's status. I find it hard to believe that a foot can go through all that tissue and stuff and still show on the skin with such detail. On the other hand 2 people just created that monster which is hard to believe itself sometimes. Postes r made from an iPad or iPhone. Felipe That is exactly how a persian looks when getting a bath, so I don't know why anyone would bother photoshopping the cat pic when all they have to do is come over to my house to get that exact shot.Fly it like you stole it! NtheSeaOrSky 0 #18 September 19, 2005 OK, I agree this is the look you get on some bathed cats. BUT the pic is definitely photoshoped. Exhibit A. You do not get the cat completely soaked from neck back and get no water anywhere on the head, not even if you try. (a halfway respectable groomer would bathe the whole cat anyway) Exhibit B. THe shadow gives it away....1-there is the shadow of two leashes and 2-since when do shadows have varying degrees of darkness? Exhibt C. Just my professional opinion, but that is the body of a small dog not a cat. And the baby foot thing...further proof children are aliensLife is not fair and there are no guarantees... highfly 0 #19 September 19, 2005 2 shadows = 2 lights. Varying degree of shadow = 1 light brighter than the other. You ever watched a footie match at night? Lighting is normally in each corner of the stand. The players will have four shadows at 90 degs to each other. www.myspace.com/durtymac
NtheSeaOrSky 0 #20 September 19, 2005 if the theory of two lights is correct for differing darkness -in particular the dark leash shadow over the lighter cat head, then why does the one shadow closest to us change degrees of darkness and not reflect the twist of the leash at the top? Edited to add, I dont see two sets of shadows in the upper portion of the picture, maybe the lights shut off up there Life is not fair and there are no guarantees...
