Aerodyne Harness / measurements

Recommended Posts

getting the measurements settled for my new rig ( ICON Aerodyne ) . Nowadays every single measurement goes into different results . What I DO know : I am 1.90 cm and to get my Torso Length is another story I got 50 cm to 55 cm ... This might be a banana question but anyhow what about you guys ?

Are you measuring yourself? Best to have someone else do it for you. Contorting in different ways to self measure could easily yield a difference of 5cm, but if someone else is doing it for you and still varying by that much, then find someone else who is better at it.

And the manufacturer probably has a measureing guide on their website.

Please please please get someone to help you...we had a guy turn up the other day who measured himself and ordered direct from Aerodyne...his measurements were way out and the rig didn't fit at all. We are looking after him now but this situation can be avoided if you get help :-)
Please be sure to measure the torso from the hole in your throat to the top of the hip bone (not the side or middle).Measure the leg strap measurement from the same point.
Feel free to contact me for assistance on this....its an expensive mistake if you get it wrong!! :-) and there are always people willing to help who know what they're doing!
Email sales@dzsports.com or you can contact Aerodyne via their website www.flyaerodyne.com

Best to get a parachute dealer (some one who sells lots of custom jumpsuits and harnesses) to measure you.

Second best would be a parachute rigger.

Third best would be a tailor.

Worst would be yourself.

When I worked at Rigging Innovations, maybe five percent of new harnesses had to be re-sized. Half of the harnesses that had to be re-sized were self-measured!

Hi this is Cookie from Aerodyne's US Demo Tour!
I just want to make sure you get a rig that fits, so I would like to recommend either going to your dealer, or having your rigger or at the very least someone else do the measuring for you. On our website if you go to buy the icon you will see exactly what measurements are needed. If we can help you in any way please contact us.
My cell is 860.933.7666
and the e-mail: ustour@flyaerodyne.com
Thanks,
Cookie
