dorkzone.com?

Recommended Posts

I recently heard this website (specifically the forums) referred to as "dorkzone.com."

Why do you think someone would call them that?

I'll be reserving my answer until after I've seen what some others have to say.

Could it be because there are quite a few people whose post numbers significantly outweigh their jump numbers ?

I've thought about dorks long and hard for a while to try and figure this out but then I just got excited and I had to take a cold shower.

Hrrm...Well my .02..for what it is worth. There is a shit load of whining, a shit load of poor me...and an over abundance of the ego stroking going on. It seems as though way too many people look for validation of themselves from the web, from a group of people though we do share a similar hobby, most of which we dont know each other.

But that is my opinion, and im sure at some point I posted something like this in the past, whining or bitching about something...but it isnt a common daily occurance, nor is it even a monthly occurance.

We all get sad, we all get upset, but looking for validation from anywhere but inside is only temporary.

Spot on!

People post about topics that appeal to them.

- What made them happy or sad (vibes).
- Something new and interesting.
- The news and politics.
- Sometimes skydiving.
- Social stuff with other posters.

I have never understood why people categorize others as "less mature" (dorky) because they aren't interested in their posts.

When did approval become important? I am suspicious of an individual who believes that they should dictate what others should value.

People are different. If someone is sharing a chicken recipe because they enjoy it, that's cool.
Even if I didn't like chicken, but I'd be damned glad that someone else was enjoying life.

This post 'splains everything. :)
Oh, and if anyone is referring to my terrifying ordeal with rats, kiss my big white ass, all I had atop my bed was my laptop and home phone. Everyone knows that all your 'Somebody come help get the fucking rat out from under my bed' numbers are in your cell phone. If I didn't perceive that people cared somewhere in the world that I was about to be bitten by a rabies-ridden rat I would have gone into cardiac arrest and SeaKev's number is in my cell phone so I would have died. Fuck anyone that wanted me dead for being a dork!! :|:)
One last thing. I think people think I'm a dork because I actually look exactly like this in real life ---> :)

People have opinions. They express them. Even if I don't like their opinion, I'm damn glad they are enjoying life ...or is that a one way judgment?

I mean, hypothetically speaking, you could spend the weekend playing the skin flute. No judgment here.

However, you really should not react in a testy :)

I would have to say, probably b/c of everyone's excuses for not jumping.

But, having said that, no-one should have to make an excuse. Jump when you want, don't when you want to do something else. I make no apologies for skydiving being just one of many hobbies of mine. For me personally, there are just way too many things in the world to enjoy to limit yourself to just a couple.:P:P:P
Paint me in a corner, but my color comes back.
