I grew up riding behind ma daddy on a Honda Gold Wing and later a Harley. justinb138 0 #28 September 12, 2005 Personally, I'd recommend the suzuki SV650 or SV1000. Both good bikes, and they have a more upright riding position compared to sportbikes, so they're more comfortable on longer rides. Also, I believe they are both V-twins, so they'll put out quite a bit of low end torque like the ducati.
