I understand that you have been known to cut across it. This generates confusion and a degree of panic to others while they are trying to land. You mention Brian Germains canopy course and how much you enjoyed it... what would Brian say about your landing pattern? -I have seen your posts about kiting your canopy. I enjoy doing that too. Quite a bit actually. But I make sure not to do it in the landing area, generating confusion and a degree of panic to others while they are trying to land. If you want to kite your canopy, do it at home, or just take it off the landing area. What do you think? -Upon boarding an aircraft, there is always a great deal of discussion among the different groups. "What are you doing on this dive?" "Where are you pulling?" etc. etc.... though I can imagine you are probably not being asked in the most polite fashion these days, I understand you do not disclose what your intentions are when asked. You cannot withhold this information. In order to be as safe as possible, people need to know what is going on. Is there a reason you think you should not be forthcoming and cooperative when asked what you are up to? -Upon exiting the aircraft, it is necessary to understand the line of flight. I understand you have, more than once now, been found flying up or down the line of flight, into the airspace belonging to another group or skydiver. You don’t want to be minding your own business, diving your own dive and then find someone directly above you when you want to pull right? You probably want someone colliding with you out of nowhere even less. Am I correct? Why do you think it's unreasonable to expect you to stay in your airspace? Veter, the above has been collected from PMs sent to me. They were sent because I asked that people stop responding to you. " airtwardo: "It seems every few jumps I pack my rig just fine and some SOB comes up after I am done, opens my main flaps, pulls out my bag and breaks a few! I find them broken when I am packing the next time....I think he is trying to kill me by causing a mal. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THAT'S the guy!! Ron...I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I was just telling the FAA guy about 'broken rubbers' and the danger to skydivers... HE THREW ME OUT!! "The Horror...........The Horror" " Then the damn thread got serious again....I thought that was some funny shit. Anywho he seems to not be the kind of guy that listens. Lets get back to the ways people are trying to kill us.... Just last weekend the pilot gave me a bad spot. He KNEW I was gonna pull lower than normal and he was wanting me to land off....We know how dangerous it is to land off right? The packer was in on it also since my canopy opened slow. Whats a guy to do whan both the packer and the pilot is trying to kill you together?"No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -- Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson Papers,
