NWFlyer 2 #47 September 6, 2005 1986-1988 ... 1980 Chevy Chevette (white)... It was the extra car in the house and since my brother was out of the house by the time I could drive, it was primarily mine, unless one of my parents' cars was out of commission and they'd commandeer it so they could get to work. 1989-1992 ... 1980 Toyota Tercel. In the bulbous, Pacer-esque window phase. (Photo attached... not of mine, but save for the racing stripe, this one could be mine, color and all!) It probably would have taken better care of me if I'd taken better care of it (what can I say... I was 18 and flighty and didn't know from oil changes!) 1992-2000 ... Saturn SL2, blue. My first new car! Bought when Saturns were in short supply - I had to order it and wait 6 weeks for it to come in! Gave me time to save for the down payment, though. Mostly reliable, save for clutch problems. 2000- present ... Volkswagen Passat GLX 5-speed. Purchased when the Saturn's clutch burned out for the second time. I adore my Passat."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -P.J. BillyVance 34 #48 September 6, 2005 1985-1990 - '64 Buick Special. Lots of fun times in that big ass car. 1990 - '84 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. Wrecked it after just 2 months. 1990-1993 - '83 Madza B2000 pickup with camper shell. Great little truck, could go 500 miles on a full tank on the highway, and slept in the back a few times on long trips. 1993-1994 - '87 Nissan Sentra. Good car, engine bottomed out. 1994-1998 - '93 Ford Mustang hatchback. Great dependable car. Sold it to a friend at 85,000 miles. He then drove it up to 298,000 miles without a single problem (man, I wish I'd kept it!). 1996-1999 - '75 Porsche 914 2.0. Definitely the funnest car I ever had. It was a blast to drive, unfortunately it was difficult to maintain along with my primary car. So I sold it. 1998-2000 - '96 Ford Mustang. Fun car to drive with V6 engine, but I kept getting speeding tickets and into minor wrecks, it was just a bad luck car. I traded it in for the next vehicle... 2000-present - '00 Toyota Tundra pick-up. Great truck, still going strong at 120,000 miles. Also first ever brand new vehicle. 2000-present - '96 Mazda Protege. My wife's car when we got married. Still going strong at 183,000 miles although the A/C no longer works. 2003-present - '03 Toyota MR2 Spyder. Little zippy sports car convertible my wife bought for her pleasure. Now that she's pregnant, she no longer enjoys driving or riding in this one. Too bumpy for her comfort. So we are currently looking to sell it or trade in for a family car (sedan wagon or SUV) for the impending baby's arrival. I love driving this one though, I've hit 125 mph a couple times! skycat 0 #49 September 6, 2005 1991-1993 - My Dad's 1990 Ford Ranger, he had a company vehicle and I only got to drive this to school and home, and once in awhile on a Friday night out. 1994-1997 - 1990 Pontiac Sunbird, went a semester with no car in college in February since I'd gotten all As and one B that semester and my scholarships covering my tuition for another year my parents got me the car with the money the would have spent on school. 1995-1997 - 1989 FZR 600R, everyone had a motorcycle so I had to have one too. 1997-2004 - 1997 Ford Mustang GT, how this was a fun car and I still really really miss it. 2004-Present - 2004 Mazda 6 sport wagon, this is my very first brand new drove it off the lot with only 7 miles on it car. Lots of room for gear on outdoors trips and a very nice looking car. 2005-present - 2004 Honda CBR 600RR new off the lot toy for Derek that I help buy. I'd ride it myself but he won't loosen the suspension and I'm to light to weigh it down which means I can't touch the ground when I'm in the seat. Fly it like you stole it!
