skybrat68 0 #26 September 5, 2005 Comin from the SO of a new tandem instructor... It's a great second job but don't quit your day job. It's the the most strict "weather dependant" job he's ever had (and trust me, we've had our bouts with weather dependant jobs). It's great to like to be at work and like the people you're working with but it's been my experience that very few people make it comfortably skydiving for a living. riggerrob 643 #28 September 5, 2005 QuoteDevil's advocate and an honest question from a (relative) newbie... Do you believe every instructor *wants* to do it full-time? Or do they instruct part-time so that they don't burn out on the sport? >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Far more part-time instructors would become full-time instructors if - skydiving - wages were comparable to their day-time jobs.
