j0nes 0 #26 August 30, 2005 QuoteQuote I'm currently reading Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. I've been recommeded that book a few times - let us know if it's a good read. It's not super-heavy reading, but you definitely have to pay attention. There is one boring (i thought) chapter in the development of writing that I glossed over, but the rest is a really great read. TFFTM 1 #27 August 30, 2005 I just finished Angel & Demons by Brown The story lined sucked but it had a great sydiving scene. Our hero takes a few meters of fabric and jumps from a helicopter, lands in a river, and leaves the hospital a few minutes later. I second the recommendation for Lamb. That's some funny shit! (Haven't read the other one)."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. lisamariewillbe 1 #39 August 31, 2005 "Eating Apes" cant remember the author but it is a book that deals in the bush meat trade and the effects it will have on the future. It also describes the difference in cultures ie eating monkeys is odd to us, but eating cows is odd to others.... This book makes me cry, but it does open your eyes to alot of things most people dont think about.Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this
