"Second Hand Lions"

Recommended Posts

I had the pleasure of watching this movie last night. Its a simply PG rated movie and it had to be one of the best stories I've seen in a good while! Just a good hearted movie with some good laughs and a good story. Who could ask for more?

If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest you add it to your Netflix queue!

Here's the IMDB link for the movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327137/

Here's IMDB's description, although it doesn't really do it justice:

Quote

"Secondhand Lions" follows the comedic adventures of an introverted boy (Osment) left on the doorstep of a pair of reluctant, eccentric great-uncles (Caine and Duvall), whose exotic remembrances stir the boy's spirit and re-ignite the men's lives.

Sounds like a chick flick/human interest story....

Got to agree with you. I saw it first, one evening when I was at the ranch working cattle. When I got home I told my wife about it and we watched it together. She loved it. Just a great story with some really good acting. Like you, I highly recommend it. Definately, not a chick-flick.

"Second Hand Lions" has a great story and colorful characters (Michael Caine and Robert Duvall have never been better). It's a surprisingly funny and charming sleeper - definitely worth your time. B|

Have not seen it yet but im gonna! They filmed that movie in Austin.

I had the pleasure of waiting on Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, and Kyra Sedgwick when they were staying in town to film that movie. They stayed for several months. They were all super nice (Robert Duvall especially...25% tipper, too:P;)).

Its funny...there are some movies that I won't see now because I've waited on the actors and they were real jerks...can't imagine contributing to their income...:P

:D:D That's a helluva good idea!:D:D I watched it with the ranch owner and his wife. You gotta see it. It's just one of those movies that, once you see it, you'll never forget it.
