AggieDave 6 #1 August 27, 2005 I had the pleasure of watching this movie last night. Its a simply PG rated movie and it had to be one of the best stories I've seen in a good while! Just a good hearted movie with some good laughs and a good story. Who could ask for more? If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest you add it to your Netflix queue!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." prepheckt 0 #2 August 27, 2005 Could you provide a brief synopsis (without spoiling the ending of course)"Dancing Argentine Tango is like doing calculus with your feet." -9 toes
AggieDave 6 #3 August 27, 2005 Here's the IMDB link for the movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327137/ Here's IMDB's description, although it doesn't really do it justice: Quote"Secondhand Lions" follows the comedic adventures of an introverted boy (Osment) left on the doorstep of a pair of reluctant, eccentric great-uncles (Caine and Duvall), whose exotic remembrances stir the boy's spirit and re-ignite the men's lives. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." MNM604 0 #6 August 27, 2005 One of the best movies we have ever seen. Never got bored during the movie, just could not wait to see what happened next. It has been out for a while... You just now rented it?
kbordson 8 #7 August 27, 2005 That was honestly one of the cutest, most wonderful movies that I have ever seen (second only to the Princess Bride) I loved it!!!! And think that the theme of the story is one to live by.... Live well! Karen
spidermonky 0 #8 August 27, 2005 Me and my girlfriend watched it with my mom the other day and we really liked it too. If you have the DVD you have to watch all of the deleted scenes!
masterrig 1 #9 August 27, 2005 Got to agree with you. I saw it first, one evening when I was at the ranch working cattle. When I got home I told my wife about it and we watched it together. She loved it. Just a great story with some really good acting. Like you, I highly recommend it. Definately, not a chick-flick. Chuck
Guest #10 August 27, 2005 "Second Hand Lions" has a great story and colorful characters (Michael Caine and Robert Duvall have never been better). It's a surprisingly funny and charming sleeper - definitely worth your time. mh ."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." kbordson 8 #12 August 27, 2005 but.... I'm shocked at how horrid his mother was to him. Why would you do that to a poor little boy that just wants to believe in people?! But the uncles were GREAT! .... to die with your boots on and be buried next to that stupid lion....

noblesmelissa 0 #15 August 27, 2005 Have not seen it yet but im gonna! They filmed that movie in Austin. I had the pleasure of waiting on Robert Duvall, Michael Caine, and Kyra Sedgwick when they were staying in town to film that movie. They stayed for several months. They were all super nice (Robert Duvall especially...25% tipper, too). Its funny...there are some movies that I won't see now because I've waited on the actors and they were real jerks...can't imagine contributing to their income... haymangonzo 0 #17 August 27, 2005 This movie is simply put a wonderful fairytale and certainly not specifiable with terms as chick-flick(I love those - Fried Green Tomatos anytime for me), kids movie or whatever. Robert Duval is amazing in this role. *** Nice to meet you toot!
