flyingferret 0 #1 August 23, 2005 I have more than 200, so these are just a few I bothered to resize so far. I thought Airtwardo might get a kick out of some them, as a performer. For those who havent heard the Thunderbirds clipped each other and got grounded, so I have not pics of them. The pics were taken with a Nikon D100, and mostly a Nikkon 70-300, the advanced properties will show you more if you like.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. airtwardo 7 #6 August 23, 2005 Cool...! I've jumped that show a few times, really a kick to be hopping out over the city landing a different beaches and parks all day long! We did a night pyro show into migs(sp)... I was squished into the front of a twin -bo and couldn't see anything until I rolled out the door... right over the Bears emblem 50 yard line S/F! ~ If you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? ~

flyingferret 0 #9 August 23, 2005 Thanks. I have a handfull from various angles. The show was great, although the Golden Knights routine was kinda average. There was a Harrier hover over the beach, and I think a pair of F22s on saturday, but I was on the pier and did not get a shot. Also missed the A-10s as I was in a cab in wicked traffic. I did not get any pics, but the Oracle biplane did a saweet rudder side slip all the way down the beach, about 50 foot off the water.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI. Amanduh 0 #10 August 23, 2005 Awesome pics!! I went to the HOuston AirShow this past year and had a blast! The thunderbirds show is freakin amazing!!!! I have some pics of it at home I could sort through I guess...
BillyVance 34 #11 August 23, 2005 Quoteand I think a pair of F22s on saturday, but I was on the pier and did not get a shot. I recently saw a documentary on the F22s, and from what I've seen, they are a totally different breed from the F18s and F16s out there. Amazing stuff... Put an F22 up against any other fighter aircraft out there, and it'll kick their ass. Amanduh 0 #15 August 23, 2005 Yup...I'm a tard. I was there passing out Spaceland stuff...wandered into the pilots area and started talking to a few of the younger pilots about skydiving...where one graciously offered to take me up after the day had settled down and all the crowds started leaving.. when I got back and mentioned it to Steve he about biotch slapped me down for being an idiot. The guy who offered was really cute too..I just figured there had to be some hidden intentions on his behalf..I knew I wouldn't get offered a ride just cause I gave him a $20 off coupon. There's always next year.....right?

ChasingBlueSky 0 #19 August 23, 2005 QuoteWas that a real mal, or an intentional cutaway? The GK have an intentional mal/cutaway built into their demo. It is a special rig with three canopies on the back. From what I was shown at Rantoul, it requires some special training to make sure you deploy them in the correct sequence._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Sopheavy 0 #21 August 23, 2005 Cool pics! When there was an airshow in Texas, I took a ton of pics from the airshow last year of the Thunderbirds. I'm going to try to look through my mountains of pics. I think planes are sooo cool. My ex is a pilot, both planes and helicopters. He used to let me co-pilot the plane but it's only a Cesna not a military plane.---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- If you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the storm. flyingferret 0 #23 August 24, 2005 Yeah, it was intentional. Knew it was coming cause he dumped high, and violently spun it. I swear, the rest of them were pulling at 1000-1500, they were low on opening. I dont know the standard opening height for them, but this looked low. Maybe it was just the HUGe tuna barge canopies And Amanduh....jeez. I wonder if he was for real or just trying to make an impression. Not sure what year that was, but you just can't get rides anymore...unless you are a super VIP, they just won't take the risk. I am going to console myself by justifying that he was just mouthing for you. That makes me feel better.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
