Rebecca 0 #1 August 20, 2005 I do. I LOVE the BeeGees, the Doobie Brothers rock, Jimmy Buffet came into my life at about 4 yo, and every once in a while I'll hear some song from the 60's / early 70's that sounds so familiar... And I really like it. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

For some reason, I couldn't get them to listen to Merle Haggard, Willie and Waylon and some of those folks! Chuck

ABBA doesn't do it for me, although Elvis ain't bad and some classical is good if I'm in the right mood.Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. JohnMitchell 16 #20 August 21, 2005 All those old bands you list are pretty good, and I've listened to them and even seen some of them in concert. What bites is people my age who refuse to open their minds and ears to anything new. I can only listen to Hotel California so many times before I want Green day's "Dookie" on for an antidote. Eric Clapton is great in concert, but so was Mother Love Bone. Music didn't stop in 1973, and rap is not the downfall of civilization. Got tickets for Green Day, coming to town next month. Can't wait.
 JohnMitchell 16 #21 August 21, 2005 QuoteQuoteTwo words: GRATEFUL DEAD So many people love them and I dont know why. You'd love the punk band that has the song "I Hate the Grateful Dead. (I'll Be Grateful when They're Dead)" Can't remember which band, though, sorry. For the record, I do have some Dead in my collection. . . . somewhere . . . I think the main reason I hate the Dead so much is first of all, there music sucks and sounds really bad. Maybe if Jerry would sober up for more than 5 minutes he could tune that piece of shit he tried to call a guitar.
