Time to lay the cowbell asside boys and girls...

Recommended Posts

Dude, as long as Will Ferrell keeps me practically peeing on myself when I watch that skit, I think we will continue to need more cow bell.

Thanks Laurel!!!

I am glad to see at least a few people to step and defend the beloved cowbell!!!

As long as there is at least one person around that appreciates it as much as I do, the cowbell will continue to make it's rounds to dz's around the globe.

Long live, MORE COWBELL !!!

Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

And the award for the most unnecessary use of the cowbell in a song goes to...

...drumroll....

"Live Wire" by Motley Crue.

:|

Hey! I like the cowbell in that song! :D

And I think Rimster is just jealous because the cowbell is getting more attention than he is.

speaking of motley crue... did anyone else stoop as low as me last night and watch "tommy lee goes to college"????

what gets even worse is not only did i watch it but i thoroughly enjoyed it:o

I did... I was curious... :S Another moronic reality show. :| But yeah, it had its moments. Like when Tommy's trying to pick up the pace in band practice but can't seem to get going. Well DUH! This is Div. I college! You have to have been playing in the marching band in high school and been in the top 5% to make it on a college band, pretty much. Just because you were the drummer for a megaband like Motley Crue doesn't mean you'll do well in a college band.

However, Tommy's funniest line might have been "where are the cheerleaders?" then "bleep" by the band coach or whatever the dude is... :D

its a better concept to me than wanting to be a hilton, or becoming the new lead singer of inxs...

Wanting to be a Hilton?!!! I couldn't believe someone actually thought of that, let alone actually put the show together and got it on TV. I saw the final few moments on "The Soup", a show on E that I like a lot. Unreal!

As for the INXS show, the concept is a little cheesy and the show has a very superficial "pop" feel to it, but Jordis is pretty cool.

I'm getting kind of tired of reality shows.

The first "Temptation Island" was cool because any time the Fox network hits a new cultural low, you've got to see it just so you can proudly say, "Yep, and I witnessed the horror!

"The Simple Life" was not a truly new cultural low, but it was like driving past a really bad wreck--you gotta' look!

"Survivor" just seemed too weak to bother with.

"Chaotic" had Britney Spears goofing off for the camera. Watching Airtwardo goof off for the camera might be funny for a few minutes, but Britney Spears? She's quite talented onstage and should stick to that.

Watching "Anna Nicole" made me a believer. The end of civilization as we know it really is near.

There are several 'celebrities, I refuse to watch. Tommy Lee is right there in the top-ten of those I refuse to watch. I don't care if, he was standing in the middle of my street.
As for the 'cow-bell', I'm not takin' my bull-bell off my trailer hitch!>:(

I hope, he makes the Dean's List! (NOT) I'll have to admit, I watch my share of 'mind-less' t.v. For example... 'Paradise Hotel'. Have you watched that? (one time, only!) You talk about shallow, mindless drivel! Sheesh! Then, I got to watching 'Filthy Rich Cattle Drive'. (Raised my cowboy curiosity) These are sons and daughters of famous people, like, Pat Benatar, Lou Farigno, etc. These people are totally useless! They want their laundry done every day and brought to them out on the 'range'. Can't go 5-ft. without a cell-phone. Turn their noses up at campfire cookin'. None of them can think for themselves, past the ends of their noses! It's absolutely hilarious. Shallow and mindless but, hilarious.:D:D

Well, I'm not sure about midget, but I'd go with "just the right height."

Um, no.

She's famous because she posed, was picked up by Baywatch, and has mastered the art of manipulating the media.

For that, i give her much respect.

Tommy Lee, on the other hand.... meh.

Will Ferrell played the part of a total goofball musician whose sole instrument was the cowbell.

You just described every role he has ever had.

Yeah, he's one of those comedians that will seemingly embarrass himself in any way imaginable to get a laugh. Gotta love it!
