I like Cingular, but the company its self started in Houston so the service in this part of TX is amazing. I've traveled a reasonable amount with my phone and its worked great. No complaints with Cingular, really, which is much more then I can say about Sprint which I used to have.

Get rid of it.....they all stink. I have Verizon and I hate them....they sent me a bille for $800 one month and insisted I pay it...after 5 months they realized their mistake.

AndyMan and I switched to T-Mobile because of the really funny "tandem cutaway" commercial. ;)

Okay, it was really because we needed a service that had free mobile-to-mobile service because we call each other the most. Another requirement was that it had to work in Canada. I don't think we have roaming charges, either.

It worked out really well for us because a lot of our friends and family turned out to be on T-Mobile, too!

I have had Cingular and AT&T and both were good. Of course Cingular bought AT&T so now you get both networks. I have been very happy with them. It really depends on where you live and spend most of your time. My Cingular phone works at EVERY DZ I have been to except for the farm. Worked in every airport I went to except JFK too. OK.........so it's crappy at the Delta gates at Dulles but it works more places than most people's phones. So........Cingular is my vote.

I have cingular/att as well. No complaints here. They're quite good!

I have verizon and I love their service. As far as bells and whistles go their phones suck, but I have never had a spot where I can't get service, except whereI am living now, but only in my room here.:(

Yup, phones aren't the best ones on the market, they have tons of coverage and rarely any issues with it. IN calling, mobile to moble, free weekends (just like all carriers out there now).

Whatever problems i've had with billing issues, etc. I've gotten the people at the store or customer service to give me a monetary credit to my account, in some cases working out to 1.5 mths free.

Thinks to be aware of:
-If you go to a retail vendor store see how you like the employees when you are talking with them about plans and phones. if you don't like them go to the next store for that carrier.
-The sales people are on commission, you can negotiate a bit.
-They do provide 'switching credits' if you were another carrier and can apply to anything, not just the phone(like they say)
- If they give you a hard time with the negotiating bit, just mention "well what makes me want to purchase this through you vs another store or online".. They will come down on the price B|

I've had friends that just ask me to come along. I get them some deals and no screwed over

Verizon.
Having sprint, Nextel or cingular is like having no phone at all. Verizon alwaws gave me great service and there are no roaming charges! I use my phone all over the country, even in the middle of the desert in Moab. No extra charge. I talk free to other verizon customers all the time.

Cell phones all suck ass.

Thats why I have a cheap one that sits in my car and never gets used.
If I want to receive calls I'll sit at my desk. The rest of the time, they can leave a message and I'll call em back.
The list of places that I DONT want to take calls is way too long to even begin to enter it here.

Nothing annoys me faster than walking into the mens room at work and hearing some guy talking away while he's taking a crap. :S
