Read something about a hammerhead not too long ago. Decided to try it out. Exited at 7000ft and performed the hammerhead (using both hands to hold on!) till 4500. All blood had gone to my feet at that time B| .

GREAT jump!

1 trip to the International Poets Convention with mom in Orlando: 0 : 0

While in Orlando, I took mom to SkyVenture to see the tunnel and show her what we do in freefall. She was completely fascinated by it and was asking a ton of questions about what people were doing in the tunnel and how they did it and..... :D

Coming back yesterday from Orlando, I got to experience a 71F difference in temperatures in 11 hours - left Orlando, it was 81F...got to Wisconsin, it was 10F. ARG!

Thanks to the guys at CSS for putting up with my wife and me over the last 3 months.

Looking at the requirements for "maintaining" chute certification, I don't think that I should go farther.

While I'd love to go AFF and get my Class A, the facts of life lead me to understand that I'm probably not able to keep up a jump every 30-60 days, and that without that level of jumping, the expense (and annoyance) of keeping someone watching over my shoulder is not fair to anyone.

To the folks @ CSS, I'd like to say thanks:

Tony, Peter and Matt: good jumps, and Blue Skies to you guys! I owe each of you a case of something, as each of my 3 jumps lead to another first.

Eric: Great videos. Nothing like being able to show the guys here @ work what skydiving is all about. I didn't pay for you to jump with us, but seeing the work you do, I wish I had. I owe you one, bud.

I'll probably keep jumping (tandem) when I 'just need that feeling', but as I said, keeping up certification with my current schedule is a no-can-do.

Alan "Knobee" Clegg

[edit -- dang my grammar sux0rz]

Those that have not jumped can not understand
Those that have jumped can not explain.
