Now theres nothing wrong with big girls and I have friends who are big, but they also complain about it. They even say "when you're that size, you should not be shopping anywhere near size 1-5" I have no idea what that means, but I'm guessing the clothes are tighter....lol... chaoskitty 0 #8 July 25, 2005 Size 5 is a juniors size anyway,so you'd have to be 12! Misses sizes are even numbers from 2-14. 16 and up are considered Womens or Plus sizes. One of my co-workers dresses like crap and she claims its because shes big and she has to be comfortable. Well they make perfectly nice looking and comfortable clothes in big sizes. I think she just doesnt care. Hey now there is nothing wrong with wearing Juniors sizes, they tend to be shorter than misses and petites start their sizing at size 6. Where the hell in the women's sizing rule books does it say if you are 5'1 the smallest size you can be is a 6. True specialty petite stores go down to 2 and New York and Co also has size 2 "short", but don't even think about finding a 2 in a department store, so you have to saunter over to juniors and hope you can find something that doesn't have your ass hanging out. I'm neither very fat, nor do I own black tights, so I can't make any experiments - but maybe related: I tend to wear my hair long, although everybody (including my mirror) tells me I look better with short hair. I don't care, because I just love the feeling of my hair brushing my shoulders when I move. Feeling good is just more important than looking good. (Being extremely fat does probably not feel too good to begin with, but that's another story...)
