droquette 0 #4 July 22, 2005 seems sketchy with no papers or logbook... would be great for a SA DZ where the rules are a lot more lax. I bet if you even could get that thing flying in the US, first off it would kick ass... but it sure would be a pain to get it legal... Any of the expert pilots on the forum have any opinions??? Tailwheel 0 #6 July 22, 2005 The FAA would probably give it an experimental certificate at best and it's not a "legal" jumpship unless it's in the normal or utility categories of certification.I seem to remember a AN-2 biplane that was being used for a short time until the Feds came and shut them down. I feel for ya guys, turboprops and a 'gate. Sounds like fun for all involved.
Rookie120 0 #7 July 22, 2005 Quotebut it sure would be a pain to get it legal.. Depends on if any mods are done to it and if there is the paperwork to certify the STC's and what not. Or if it is even certified for the US at all. If it's not, good luck and hope you have deep pockets with a lot of dead presidents on paper. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
