CanuckInUSA 0 #1 May 13, 2005 I've uploaded a new video on skydivingmovies.com to watch. It's mainly a BASE jumping video, but there is a wingsuit balloon scene as well as some swooping and tracking footage. If you do download it, I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it. Steve ... hookitt 1 #8 May 13, 2005 Steve, that really nice.. Who did the Nestea plunge on the 3 way? It was a very nice over rotation. I like the fact you guys got to do a balloon jump over a town. See you in Idaho? My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

nvanduyn 0 #11 May 13, 2005 WOW, very very nice video. I have to ask about that girl... haha Also, some of the jumps from the bridge are very impressive with multiple jumpers. Shows how important it is to have a on heading opening, as well as how much skill you guys have. ------ -Nick
hookitt 1 #12 May 13, 2005 On heading is important but quick reactions are even more important. When doing muti-ways in base, opening altitudes are often staggared... or at least that's the plan. One person may take a 1 second delay, the next a 2 plus second delay, and the 3rd may have a slider to slow the opening a touch as well. On that bridge, you can spread out pretty far too. Just like in skydiving, if you're headed for another jumper, steer away quickly. My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... CanuckInUSA 0 #13 May 13, 2005 Quotesome of the jumps from the bridge are very impressive with multiple jumpers. Shows how important it is to have a on heading opening, as well as how much skill you guys have. I can only speak for one of those 3-ways from the bridge in the video. The 3-way with Peter doing the double gainer, Jamie in the back doing a single gainer and myself videoing the jump was a total staggered opening assignment jump which went as planned. I was hand held taking a 1 second delay. Both Peter and Jamie complete their gainers about the same time, but Peter is packed slider up and Jamie is slider down (Jamie's canopy will open faster). This sort of staggered opening altitudes is how this sort of jump can be pulled off. Tim the one 3-way with the over rotation was from last years Memorial Day boogie when this fellow (I met him but forgot his name) was doing his 300th? You probably know him. And that wingsuit jump to date is the most incredible jump of my life, even better than my Moab jumps which are treasured. On the video it looks like I'm going into the homes, but I pulled at 2500, was open by 2100 feet and easily landed off safely in a field about 1/2 mile south of our main landing area. My memories of the actual jump and the video are to different beasts. Jimmyh ... I'm a big fan of your work and to hear that you like mine means a lot to me. Of course I had the help of some of my friends doing their antics. But we had a lot of fun doing the jumps you see. I hope to party with you one day.
