JaapSuter 0 #1 July 20, 2005 On my system (XP, IE, default font size), emoticons are a few pixels bigger than the height of a text line. That means that if I include an emoticon (like a smiley Does anybody else find this annoying to the point where you stop using emoticons unless they are in single line sentences? I would post in the bug forum, but I'm not sure if anybody even cares. I'm known for my anal retentiveness anyway. See, that one should have gone after the sentence, instead of it's own line. JaapSuter 0 #3 July 20, 2005 QuoteI notice it, but not enough to say anything about it. I've tried that, and succeeded for 587 posts. JaapSuter 0 #5 July 20, 2005 QuoteYou know they have medication for stuff like that, right? Probably, but as long as I'm a happy person and nobody else suffers, I don't see the harm. While I take this much too serious, I do hold the opinion that if more of us would try to use the shift-key on their keyboard, hit the period and comma occassionally and aim to write full sentences, communicating on these boards would become a lot easier. Aim to make the reader's life easy. Even if that means trying to get your lines evenly spaced.
skymama 37 #6 July 20, 2005 I was just teasing you. The emoticon thing has never bothered me, but I do agree that the forums are much easier to read when people try to use proper grammar and punctuation. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #7 July 20, 2005 The size doesn't bother me as much as emoticon abuse. As much as I like some people who post here, sometimes their posts' blatant emoticon overload makes me look away or go to the next post.
