A guy I work with is getting ready to relocate and is starting to get desparate to sell his '01 883 Sportster. I'm not the biggest sportster fan but it's looking like I could get it for $4k and it's only got about 8200 miles on it.....sooooo, what should I do?

Hi,
I had a 94 sporty. Good ike. Forget what people say about it being a chick bike. They are fun, cheap and easy to upgrade and modify and generally quicker off the line than most stock big twins. I sold mine for what I paid for it after 2 years. (bought a crw canopy and atrip toFla. with part of the money).

Buy it :)
Sporty is not a bad looking bike and its NOT a chick bike.
Matter of fact, the chicks that I know that ride are riding heritage softails.
The only sporty's I know of are ridden by guys.
For 4k you cant go wrong.
