taking mom for a SKYDIVE!!!

Ok here is my problem... My mom is turning 50 tomorrow and I am traveling to see her in Maine... The DZ is an hour from her and my big present to her is a skydive....My mom is deathly afraid of heights she won't ride rollercoasters, etc... Please help me figure out a clever plan to get her to agree to skydive with me!!! Thanks to all...

I dunno she is a pretty smart cookie...but that is one option...do you think she would go for the whole story of you need to put this gear on for the ride in the plane (so she can watch me jump)???

I am taking my mom for her 60th on Saturday - but after watching my 4way footage and the tandem on the Today show, she actually asked...

AND - on her real birthday, Thursday - she is requiring that the company go with her to Six Flags to ride rollercoasters instead of the usual out to lunch thing we do...

So, I guess my mom is in a different boat than yours.

I will caution you on this... If your Mom does not want to go, don't pressure her into it...

Why not just take her to the dropzone and say, "Mom, I would really like you to skydive with me. Here is how it works... But, if you really don't want to, after you have met my friends, then I will buy you something else."

I just know Tandem I's hate payload that are not 100% committed to the jump.

If I got my mom to even step into a jump plane to begin with, I'm 99.9% sure she'd have a heart attack the second she saw the door open and the person(s) before her exit.

Sorry, I can't help. My mom is turning 50 on Saturday. I'd like nothing more than to take her on a tandem at Kapowsin, but she hasn't taken me up on the standing offer in the last few years, so I kinda doubt she'll do it this time either.

My grandfather flew for the Civil Air Patrol back during WWII and my mom used to go up in the Cessna with him without the door even on the plane. She tells me stories of that all the time.

I told her for her 70th, I'm getting her a skydive... I have one year (July 20) to convince her... She told me that the only way she was getting out of an airplane is, of course, if it is crashing...

Hopefully you will have more luck than I... if you find something that works on her, let me know so I can try it next year...
