outlawphx 1 #29 July 6, 2005 QuoteQuoteREAD THE CONTRACT BEFORE SIGNING! I'm writing a check Blah! I charged my last car on my Southwest visa for the airline miles It was a little strange writing a check at the end of the month for that much though Oh, and on the walking away deal. I walked out of the dealership on the second visit over $200. After negotiating a bunch of times with the "I've got to go talk to my manager.", I said that I'd give him 5 minutes to come back with an answer over the final $200. 5 minutes later and he wasn't back, so I walked out of the dealership. The salesman chased me down in the parking lot and said "Are you really going to throw away this deal over $200? $200 is pocket change!". I replied "Well, if it's pocket change, you pay it!" and kept walking. Over my shoulder I heard him yell "OK! Just come back".
Buried 0 #31 July 6, 2005 i'd say a wrx, but that would be over 20k... You could pick up a saab 9-2x (basically a wrx) for that price with those dealer discounts.. generally they are about 26-30k. Where is my fizzy-lifting drink?

outlawphx 1 #39 July 8, 2005 Nice! I looked at the Passat (I needed more room than the Jetta), and I was impressed. That gas mileage is awesome.

rhino 0 #41 July 12, 2005 First tank of gas.. 265 miles driven and not even a half a tank used. 3/5 still left. Average on hwy with AC is about 47mpg, without AC sits around 51mpg.. City average has been 38mpg... I must say I am impressed in a big way.
