Tattoo & Piercing Care...All you will ever need to know!

Is it a hoop or a stud in your nose. I'm hoping it's a hoop because you should never be pierced with a stud, even in the nose. I would let it sit for a day or two, just clean it extremely well. Then once it starts to not be so tender, rotate it to really get all the nasty shit out of the hole.

Hope this helps, if not PM me with any problems or questions.:)

Thanks! That helped alot. Advantage/disadvantage of ring v/s rod other than looks? I'm sure my terminology is off. Please pardon. Still not clear on vertical positioning though.

And also, how long before you can have sex again? (both oral and traditional)

Pammi-

You probably don't have to wait the full amount of healing time, since you're married and therefore don't really have to worry about the whole bodily fluid exchange thing. Piercers get really concerned about the whole "disease transmission through open wound" thing, which you don't have to worry about. Just wait til you feel comfortable, and then be careful, and pick a position where there isn't a lot of friction there.

Couple of my friends have had this piercing, and they all love it....perhaps next time I find myself single, I will find myself with some new jewelry... I've been thinking about that piercing for about six years now. now, I just have to decide if I want a new piercing, or three jump tickets! Its funny... the more you get into skydiving, the more you look at the cost of things as jump tickets... my dad just spent $200 on a TV and I was like "DAMN! that's ten jump tickets!"

i think bellybuttons are a hard piercing to have in general because they typically will catch on ANYTHING -- your shirt, your pants, whatever!

i used to be a big fan of bellybutton piercings but when Britney Spears came along & commercialized, and EVERY girl @ Miami got it pierced -- that was enough for me...

I know what you mean about the Britney Spears thing. Stupid girls. I just improvised and pierced the bottom part too!

hehe... I want it...

BUT, to get it, I have to skip a weekend of jumping to afford it. THAT is the tough decision.

I have the solution for not losing a day of jumping. Go when it is raining cats and dogs!!!!!!! Turn a lousy day into an amazing one;):)

K! I'll probably be happier to show them off now, because hopefully they'll be a bit "perkier", even when it's warm out. :D

You do remember you said you were going to get this done a long time ago right?? Waht made you finally decide to do it? Support group?:D:D

I wouldn't do it Kel...just a word of advice.

My friend had hers done (and I have heard this from several people) and she said that even after a year she still couldn't even think about letting anyone / thing near them because of the sensitivity. She said they never healed up completely..

Also, you get crust around them too..EWWWWWW!!!!

Kel, i have heard other people say the same thing. I love mine and my girl loves hers. I think it is like other "intimate";) piercings, that is a chance you take when getting it done. I have talked to more people who like them than not.B|

I think I'm gonna take the chance. If I hate them, I'll take them out. I'm not too worried about hypersensitivity - I have next to NONE right now. You can bite down HARD, and it tickles, but that's about it. :D

I would, firefly said hers were like that too and since she got them done, well.:$:D

Like you said, not much to lose right. Good luck and have fun with the get together.:D
