Antithesis 0 #53 January 16, 2004 here's my arm and ankle The lighting sucks and I too have found out that it's not so easy to take pictures of yourself for something like this. The picture on my arm is a rising sun on my shoulder, connected to somewhat tribal wings that reach around the front of my chest and my back on the other side.. which all sits on top of an anchor with the sign for infinity inside on both sides of the anchor (i'm a sailor) which all sits on the head of a tiger. Paige 0 #54 January 16, 2004 I dig em'. Where did u get work done? Did you like them or would you recommend them? I was thinking about starting a thread with reputable tattoo parlors so people here know where to go according to state.Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
Antithesis 0 #55 January 16, 2004 Every part of them were done in different places. Ankle.. bottom band of tribal thorns... -Grand Rapids, michigan Ankle.. flames Anchorage, Ak Arm- the sun, wings, infinity were most recently done here in grand rapids 1.5 yrs ago The Anchor.. Seattle The Tiger.. Maui I could only recommend the most recent work. I've started with sketches on all of them but had the best time and most positive interaction with that artist. skybrat68 0 #57 January 16, 2004 My navel was done around 11 years ago. At that time I was told not to us anything but this special surgical cleanser called Hibi-Cleanse that they gave me. I was suppose to make a dilute solution and run it thru the piercing twice a day. I forgot to dilute the solution and when I called the guy that pierced me the next day to tell him it was already infected, he figured out that I hadn't be diluting the Hibi-Cleanse and he said that was the problem and that it wasn't infected. I think I asked him at the time if I could us Neosporin and he said absolutely not - but I did anyway. I've found that the care of piercing has changed over the years as piercing has become more popular and piercers have learned more about how to take care of them. Anyone have their nose done? I've been thinkin about getting a super tiny stud on one side. My SO says no way but he has an eyebrow piercing and wants another right next to it and want to change the loops to two smaller than what's in his one right now. If he gets somethin else, so will I. Tattoos and Piercing are ADDICTIVE
flyonthewall 0 #58 January 16, 2004 Hi longtime lurker here. I wanted to bring up a part of tattoo after care that not too many people know about. It's called a hot compress. I leave my tattoos wrapped (in glad wrap) for atleast two hours. I don't unwrap them until I can wash them. Sometimes I leave them wrapped while I sleep so I don't get goo on my sheets. After a thorough wash with soap and water I draw hot water as hot as I can stand to touch. Then I soak a towel in the water. I then hold the hot towel on my fresh tattoo until it stops hurting. Obviously if you've just gotten a tattoo the size of a nickel you don't need to do this. For larger pieces this works great. It opens the pores in your skin to "set" the ink. After doing this I've healed pieces without any scabbing at all. After hot compress just take care of your tattoo the way yourt artist told you to or do what you've found to work the best. I've attached a pic of my stomach piece just for shits and giggles. BTW nice pictures Paige.
Paige 0 #59 January 17, 2004 SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad to SOAK new tattoos under water or with a wash cloth. Do not use hot water on them for more than 15 seconds at a time at MOST!!!!!!!!!!!!! The long periods of time they are submirsed will dull the lines and sharp tips/points of the tattoo.Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
Paige 0 #60 January 17, 2004 The report of piercing trouble you had with the cleanser is the reason why we have changed the methods of cleansing. The substances used are totally different from 11 years ago when the solution you used was the best thing aorund. Now we know better as to not dry the piercing out or sterilize it too much. Hope all is well with your tummy ring The nose is easy but you have to get it done with a hoop first for propper healing. If they tell you, that you don't have to use a hooop, they just want your money and not to give you the best piercing possible! Thanks for your post. Glad you have been into this since the startTunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

LivingInClip 0 #62 January 17, 2004 As someone who took an appertinceship in body piercing and someone who did not read the whole thread, I have one thing to add. Everyone heals different. There are guidelines, most governed by common sense, but everyone heals different. Don't over use the neosporin though. I see a lot of people do this and they don't realize you are not giving the wound room to breathe. You're killing off natrual things to fight off healing of the wound..etc. Don't use listerene on a tongue piercing or any oral piercing also.

Why wouldn't you use Listerine?? I have always used Listerine and everyone that I know that has oral piercings has used it with no problems. Most parlors will have Listerine there for you to use before the piercing. It's all personal preference, in the end, as long as it gets clean that's all that matters (for the most part, always excpetions since everyone heals differently).Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Paige 0 #72 January 18, 2004 Well, lets see.....you could do anything genital and everything else would be visible or surface piercings (which are for the most part temporary because they are pushed out of the skin by the underlying bone). An example of a surface piercing might be making a neckless of balls from barbells around the front (& back) of your neck. So it literally looked like a neckless. It's cool, if you have the balls but most of the time the piercings grow out. It's so sexy on girls Some surface piercings on the back of the neck just below the hair line stay in a bit longer and those are really hot on guys! Are you againist putting a hole in your member? I know lots of guys that go for PA's and love em. Genital piercings are like any fetish/sex toys, you are a little aprehensive at first but once you break 'em in you never go back You always feel better after the purchase!Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

Hummm, I don't know what else to tell you to pierce that isn't visible. Maybe go for another frenum but try it in a different location. loriglass 0 #75 January 19, 2004 I got my nostril pierced on Saturday actually.....my piercer recommended cleaning 2x day with sea salt water and that's IT. No rotating, nothing.....everything else I see says to rotate the jewellery but he recommended just leaving it alone *shrug*..... not sure what the best course would be, what worked the best for you? I'm paranoid about infection.... Don't have pics here (I'm at work) but will post later on when I get home.
