Next go hacksaw that pipe off REALLY FLUSH to the ground. Bang it with a big sledgehammer to, to teach it a lesson.

And get video for your front door. It'll be so gratifying to go talk to those kids' parents with video, and show them your scar ("See what they did to me???")

I like the trap idea...get them with the ink they use on the safety tags at the store...:D or something of that sort....but make sure there is video...must be video!

Dude, WTF, Can you say I'm gonna visit your parents. You know it won't be long before those lil angels will get in some trouble and I'm sure will have to face you. For sure some kids in the neighborhood you know, you prolly hold them in high regard. I'm glad to here your O.K.

Do what I did: put up hi-rez, wide-angle, low-lux lipstick cameras and let the parents know you're videotaping 24x7. No trouble that way. B|

i agree! do what my dad did when kids were beating up our RV. he is an electrician...so he electrified the RV, used one of those cattle fence jobbers. man, nearly broke my arm jerking it back when i got zapped when my older brother dared me to touch it. run some lines around your yard...shock the hell out of em!

OK, I'm much better today! The pain is under control w/ ibuprofin, so I didn't even fill the vicoden prescription. (I do still have a handfull left from the hospital though ;)) I'll video changing the dressing tonight, then grab a still or 2 and post em. It took 34 years to need stitches though, and then they didn't even sew! >:(

I'm usually a pretty peaceful person, but if I were to catch those kids in the next few weeks, away from here, in the dark........B|B|B|

OK, as promised, the scar to be (for now it's just a wound...)

Turns out there is exactly 15 staples, and the end of it is farther back than I thought.

Range of motion, so far, is about 85%. Luckily I ordered shorter risers on my Racer 2k3. ;)

p.s. Sorry for the crappy quality, they're webcam grabs...

You can't win in a battle with morons. You have the fixed base of operations, they have the choice of time to attack. They can come by at any time and do whatever.

You need to catch one of them sometime. Politely discuss the names and addresses of their friends and the lack of current witnesses. Stress how important that your privacy is to you and how sincere you are.

Lastly, mention that you will hold them personally responsible for anything that happens and that you now know where they live and what they look like at night.

Risk/benefit discussions are wonderful. If any benefit is vastly outshadowed by risk, people become polite. :)

The Sony TRV19 is set up and tested, running Nightshot with an external IR emitter. It will stay set up, and used each and every night until it produces results. They haven't been caught yet, so the chances they will come back are pretty high....

Chris, thanks dude. I took 3 ibu's at 4:30 this morning, and another 3 at 2 this afternoon. That's it, though I'll probably take 3 more before bed tonight. 600mg at a time is enough for me.

Some day they'll be caught. Some day.

You know, it is not as painful as it looks (though I'm NOT saying it doesn't hurt), I just happen to HATE narcotics. I like to be in control, and really, ibuprofin takes the edge off enough to make it bearable. I just looke dat it again in the mirror and still can't believe it. It's so much longer than I knew last night. Damn! B|
