carmenmullenix 0 #1 June 30, 2005 The world is a sadder place on the passing of fellow skydiver John Walton. He was a very low-key, unassuming guy, despite his fortune. Jumpers in Southern California knew John as the guy who was ready to get on whatever plane was going up, and was always playing with his canopy -- usually collapsing it for the majority of the ride to the ground. Blue skies, John. You'll be missed.Carmen

Muenkel 0 #5 June 30, 2005 I heard he put 67,000 under-privileged children through private school. I know he was extremely wealthy, but it's nice to hear how he spread some of his wealth. BSBD _________________________________________ Chris

beezyshaw 0 #8 July 1, 2005 Mr. Walton was obviously a good man and generous with his ability to help others. Out of curiosity, I'd like to know a little bit more about his skydiving...how many jumps he made, how long he had been a skydiver, where his home dz was, things like that. Anybody that knew him care to reply?
