Sen.Blutarsky 0 #3 June 30, 2005 Sailing. I grew up in a port town that under Western convention dates to its 'discovery' by LaSalle in 1692, and I have sailed and raced the large yachts that other people own through many of the worlds waterways including the oceans. I can sail almost the entire Great Lakes without needing compass or map (I am not welcome in Sarnia Ontario, however), I just need to know which body of water I'm on and the time of year. Of course this ability doesn't have much value given GPS. But I have my fun and, most importantly, get to share it with others. (Edited: to change the date I should have known with accuracy but that had to pointed out to me by an Allegan friend who shares my passion for freshly-made Dean's Blackberry icecream from Dean's of Allegan Michigan) Blutarsky 2008. WatchYourStep 0 #7 June 30, 2005 I love cycling. It's so nice getting done with a long ride and laying on the couch afterwards. You don't realize how tired you are until you stop riding. We used to go to Atlanta for a regatta in the spring, but haven't been in a few years. Check www.row2k.com classifieds for some used sculls. Sorry about the thread jacking. I'm done. I ski in the winter, but lately if I get to go even 2-3 times a year it's a lot. I used to climb, but my climbing is now limited to the climbing wall in the back yard. I sail, but sailing isn't really a sport, it's more an excuse to get out on the water, look around and drink beer.
