skybytch 273 #28 June 29, 2005 Instead of the typical restaurant/movie type date, make an impression by doing something different. How about a picnic dinner at the park? Great people watching opportunities, public enough that she won't think you're obviously trying to get in her pants, private enough to allow for good conversation, and after eating you can go play on the swings. christoofar 0 #30 June 29, 2005 I would go for something more eclectic than Outback... like a smaller bar that serves good food, or a mom and pop restaurant that has outdoor eating. You don't need to go expensive, either. There's one Greek place in my neighborhood that's 9 bucks a head and a french restaurant next to it that's $150 a plate. Of course, not every place has choices like this (Corpus Christi only had Snoopy's, everythying else was commercial). In towns like San Antonio, Houston or Philadelphia, where I've lived... Outback is someplace you take the kids or you go for a corporate shin-dig. Get away from the strip malls for a change and do something a bit less suburban! ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Fo shizzle. jeiber 0 #37 June 29, 2005 QuoteHow about a picnic dinner at the park? Yeah, right... that's one of those fantasies that you women contrive from watching all those sappy romance movies... before the date's over, he'd be getting lines like, 'I like you as a friend' or 'you're too nice'. JShhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!

boomshakalaka 0 #39 June 29, 2005 Avoid the comedy club, I've been to some really bad comedians at our local one and it was a lousy time. On the other hand I've seen some really good comedians...but!!!! you want her to be focused on you not someone else!! That is the key to getting her to come back! Take her to the never been to italian restaurant. That way it is a new adventure for both of you, so it will create conversation in those quiet moments. Be careful what you order though, nothing too messy or sloppy to eat! Don't order a lot then you will not have leftovers to deal with. An outdoor activity before might be good unless you are planning on dressing up really nice. If it's a spiffy dressup date, then be conservative with any pre-dinner activity. After dinner a nice stroll through a park or around waterfront will get rid of the sleepiness of eating. And holding her hand during a nice stroll is one of the most magical things for a first date if things are going perfectly. Last but not least.....if, like you said, you want to make it work(not just get in her pants ASAP) then keep your hands away from any part that will scream "let's go screw" when you have your first kiss, or even during the whole first date for that matter. Let the kiss come naturally between the two of you....you'll both know when the time is right for the kiss. Don't forget to just gaze into her eyes all night long and be swept away by the mystery of a beautiful woman staring back into your eyes._______________________________________ Of course I'm talking to myself, a habit of the old, we choose the wisest person in the room to talk to. freeflir29 0 #43 June 30, 2005 Or..............invite her over for "dinner." When she gets there have all the lights turned down low except for the romantic candle light. Also have a sheep tied up in the living room and your best Gimp outfit on. Hand her the leash. If she doesn't run screaming into the night you'll have a REALLY good time.
