it's 'what to do for a 100th' not 'bug the jumper about personal decisions'- most people are adults here and can make calls for themselves

ever seen somebody bounce about 5 feet in the air and about 60 ft from where they first hit the ground??? want to see the footage ii have of a frinds helicoter coming in to land to take him to the hospital? it's not fun.... we want to help him figure out what to do for his 1,000 jump too!!.... sorry for the thread hijack....

as for the 100th, i say go nekid... i did.... it's fun, just don't but slide it in on the runway.....

I am not seeing this as a good thing...You have not been jumpin long enough to understand what a canopy can and cannot do...Upsize...A Nitro is btwn a Sabre and a Stilleto, stable but like any canopy it can get you into some trouble....Take your time with downsizing...It hurts to hit the ground trust me I speak from experience!!!

I don't want to sound like every one who downsizes to fast and argue with you about me being able to handle this canopy or not... so i am not going to do that.... but do keep in mind i have been on a 135 for about 70 jumps and have gotten and still getting alot of good information and coaching from very experienced instructors that also fly high performance canopies. and i am also flying this canopy very conservitive and plan to for a long time...

Get more jumps and experience and active time in the sport (not just the time from your first jump, but time on a DZ day in and day out) and I bet your opinion changes. Infact, I bet after you see a friend who made their own adult choice bounce 3ft in the air and do a handful of flips then land in a crumpled heap of broken femurs, pelvis, vertibre, tibs and fibs with life hanging by a thread and you get to hold his/her hand while you're waiting for LifeFlite and you're praying very hard that they'll live, your opinion will probably change.

PLEASE please please be careful I do not want to see anymore of my fellow jumpers get hurt bc they are being conservative under a canopy to aggressive for them... It is not the normal landings that I am worried about it is the off landings or the misjudgements that get you hurt.... Be careful
