Pets aren't allowed here...

Recommended Posts

In this little bitty house I'm renting, with a huge back yard, NO PETS are allowed. So my dogs, Lady Blue and Bosco, stayed with the ex. But....I couldn't stand it any longer, and today I brought them to MY house. Bosco's limping, I think because his toenails are so long. I doubt they've had a bath in a year....stinky.

But today I ordered 10 new frisbees for Lady Blue.... She's an awesome frisbee dog. Got new dishes, leashes, and treats for the dogs. We now have 4 pets where there should be none, but WTF.... I'll replace the carpet or whatever.... I have my dogs.

Lady Blue is SO smart, and a really fun dog. I feel so guilty for leaving both of them with Jesse for nearly a year. Glad to have them back though. They're so starved for attention.... It has been such a stressful time that, embarassingly, I gave Jesse the benefit of the doubt on taking care of the dogs. I do regret that. They're only somewhat worse for the wear...and they'll get the TLC they deserve from here on out.

I love the australian Cattle Dog (Blueheeler)
I have one I love my dog:)

I used to have one and I miss him very much.I had to give him to my friend in the country when I moved to the city. :( If I ever live in a house I want another. They can be taught to do anything, a truly amazing breed.

No dogs allowed? In Arkansas? I thought it was a state statute to have at least 10 under the porch? :D The Blue Healer is beautiful!

Don't laugh.... but it's true.... I was bit on the butt once by a dog who was hiding under the porch.

Lady Blue was once on death row. Can you believe that!? I hope she'll live to be very old too. She's about 8 now.

Peace~

You live in arkansas?
She lives in arkasas?
WTF? Why have we not met? Have we met and I was too drunk to remember? :S

The only reason I ask is that the skydiver population in AR is quite small, and few or none post on DZ.com.

annnyways...

I know the feelin on your dogs. Were moving and all the places we keep finding to live say "no pets".
So Im thinking Ill just bring here in and worry about it later.
My dog is so quiet youd never know she was in the house unless she wanted you to pet her.
then she just nuzzles youre hand till you do! B|

So what happens when the landlord busts you? Are you looking for a new place?

I'll definately apologize for moving them in against his wishes, and I'll explain to him how important it was for me to have them with me. Then I'll assure him that I'll leave the house in better shape than when I moved in. He'll accept my word on that. One of the benefits of living in a small town where you know everybody.... He knows I won't trash his place.

Sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission....

boy, do I smell Deja Vu!

I did this in college more times than I care to admit. My favorite when the landlords come by and ask "who's dog is that?"

"Oh, that's my parent's dog. They're in Europe for hte summer, so I'm dog sitting."

When the summer comes and goes, my parents mysteriously extend their "vacation."

Also recommend getting the carpets professionally cleaned every 3-6 months. Makes the landlords really happy and depending on how bad your wet months are, you too!

Landlords like to hear that too. Also offer an extra 10% to your deposit for "pet protection" if he balks.

Good to see they have a loving home and huge yard now!
