The US F1 GP - Who's to blame?

But, really, this should have been the best solution: break that rule; have all the Mchelin runners off points (but still have a race), but still have the track without the chicane...

Why not let michelin runners use the new tyre but start them on the grid after the bridgestone runners. Make the grid bridgestone in order of qualifying then the Michelin in their order of qualifying. Let everyone start with fresh tyres and have a proper race and not ruin F! in the US.

Will also get really stupid if Schumacher ends up winning the championship by <10 points!

Hey Darren,

that works too... bottom line: they (Michelin, the FIA and all the team) should have found a way to keep the show on.

I can't believe no one gave the obvious answer: "Bush". :D:D:D

:|

Well, that's obvious, so no one mentioned it. If he hadn't pissed off the French so much at the start of GW2, they may have worked a little harder at building their tyres.

:D:D

I'm kidding. Just kidding!:D

So... after Michelin turned up with Tyres that don't work, and all
the Michelin teams withdrew after the formation lap, the Brigestone
teams went on to score points. A "hollow Victory."

Tell me what you think.

I think someone will have to make a strong case for me to buy Michelin tyres again. That is just pathetic IMO esp since Michelin was previously warned to not sacrifice safety for performance. :S

I'm going to go back to Pirelli on my motorcycles and probably Bridgestone for my sports car next time.

How come nobody has addressed the fact that the track was diamond grinded after the qualifyer?

How come nobody has addressed the fact that you don't know what you're talking about? the track was ground months ago.

No need to be rude guy.

Sorry I almost forgot to come back and correct myself. The track was diamond-grinded about 5 months ago. A few Toronto radio stations first reports were that it had been done after the qualifier but was not expected to alter the driving condition. The picture which was thusly painted was that it wasn't until a car went into the wall that people realised their tires wouldn't be safe.

So please, hand me my head back? lol

finally after a longer thought than in my previous post, only the Michelin user teams are to blame... If they come with bad tyres, nothing obliges them to run full speed... OK, no full speed, no winning... But no running, no whining... At least 4 other cars might have scored points...
