QuoteDo you have the older body style (pre 98) or the new Jelly-bean looking one?
Mine's a '94 so it's the older model.
I fucking dropped it though so now I need a new right mirror and I can't seem to find them.

Thats only because I'm relaxing and enjoying the ride, in no particular hurry

Dont sweat it.
Funny, I check Ebay on a day to day basis to see about cool parts for my bike. This is the first day I have not seen mirrros listed.
There are two sets on there right now. See here. But these are for the newer style.
Check ebay everyday though, like I said I almost always see mirrors and turn signals listed there. Otherwise, just call up different Bike Scrappers. The katana is a raved starter bike... which means they get dropped a lot. lol.

I was simply asking for consideration of thread author's intention.
That would be like me posting about my concerns regarding breastfeeding in a thread asking for fellow breastfeeders in the women's only forum. It is just plain rude.
All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.

But IF I could just own and operate a bike... this would be it (or something like this) ... (see if I can dl this pic).

You definatly picked a kick ass bike though.

QuoteAll of that really does not change the fact that the thread was a biker asking to meet more bikers in the dropzone community and someone decided to turn it into bitching about noise.

The Katanas are still a little much for a first bike but would be a better choice than the gxer's. The comparison would be like going from a 190 main to a 135 main after your first jump not a real wise decision.

its all in the mind set of the individual. My gsxr 600 is my first bike

Cause apparently me waving at all those people and particularly riding with you on your kawasaki is impossible.
The only thing I have against everyone on the internet is that they are idoits and make generalizations.

Quotethe only thing i have against harley's, or more directly the riders, is that all other riders give a nice hello wave, nod, to say "hi, nice ride" excepts harley riders. never wave, never nod, i guess they are too good and have reverted to some high school click mentality. oh, and yeah it is a fair comparison....cruiser vs. cruiser. now, you wanna race for pink slips?
Well I think you are 100% wrong.

Matter of fact, I've been waved at by every single bike that passed me since I got my new bike.
Harley riders, sport bike riders. All of them.
I (harley rider) waved back.
I am amused that you just made such an unbelievably sweeping generalization.
I'm surprised to hear that you have ridden past every Harley rider in the world and not a single one waved at you

Its not a V-Twin so cruiser or not, its not a fair competition.
Wanna have a bench press competition? Human vs human so its a fair
comparison.
Wanna lift for pink slips?

I rarely experience ths... I get waves ang good gesters such as head nods from almost every bike i pass. as i also give them. Its just the way things are. We ride and acknowledge eachother for riding. thats just my experience. I understand that others may have different experiences.

I'm game.

As for the waving thing, its all about the individual. That's like saying "everyone who drives a ford truck is a dick." It just doesn't hold true.
Although it is very fun to poke fun at your friends with a stereotype...I give Malachi shit all the time about the cost of the little things on his bike since its made by HD.
