Kris 0 #3 June 20, 2005 Can you run on it with no pain? Can you jump off an object with no pain? Always check with your doc. When I trashed my ankle a few years back, I held off until I could run and hop on it.Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
Viking 0 #4 June 20, 2005 if you can jump off a chair or even better a table if you don't hurt give a jump a try and be very careful of your landings.I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin

freeflir29 0 #6 June 20, 2005 I broke my 5th metatarsel(SP?) in 1996. Basically pulled the conical end of the bone off because it was weaker than the tendon that was attached to it. Had a cast for 5 weeks, crutches for another 2-3 weeks, didn't run a complete 2 miles again for several months. About 2 years later I finally made another jump. I wasn't a skydiver then..........just did military jumps on rounds. I have to say that I was STILL quite concerned about it. Of course, landing a T-10 or -1C is a bit differen't than your average sport canopy. I was paranoid and put $5 worth of 100MPH tape around the outside of my boot. Turns out it was fine. Only problems I had was with twisting knees on hard landings now and again. I'd say if you can run and jump on it it's as good as it's going to get. You might try using some kind of brace if it still feels weak.
