yardhippie 0 #1 May 31, 2005 Ok, so the wife and I having talked about it for too damn long have decided to move. We picked the Atlanta area for a few reasons. But now, where does one want to live with his wife and large dog, and most likely be unemployed for a bit when I get there? I want to rent, preferably something with very little maint, and easy access to freeways and skydiving. any tips, hints, suggestions? Were planning on moving as soon as we can, but not before a house im caring for is closed on (june 22). thanks in advance.Goddam dirty hippies piss me off! ~GFD "What do I get for closing your rig?" ~ me "Anything you want." ~ female skydiver Mohoso Rodriguez #

You are looking at $850 to $1000 per moth for a reasonable 3 bedroom house with a yard for the dog. 3 Near by DZ`s (The Farm, Rome and ASC) with 2 more just over an Hour away (SDA and Monroe). East Cobb is even closer to interstates but the cost goes up considerably. Warning.. No matter where you live, Atlanta Traffic sucks.
 kelel01 1 #17 May 31, 2005 I think maybe somewhere between Macon and Atlanta would be good. (You don't want to actually live in Macon, though. It's mostly scary.) South of the city tends to cost a little less than north of it, but Marietta and Smyrna (falling under the aforementioned "West Cobb" category) are good, and not too far from the city. Kennesaw's a bit further out in West Cobb, but you might have better luck with selling farm equipment out in that neck of the woods. (BTW, just to clarify, West Cobb is north of the city.) South of the city, there's Griffin and Jonesboro, both of which are nice in some areas and scary in others.
