ladyskydiver 0 #1 September 17, 2004 So Jerm's a total sweetie and drives down to Manhattan to go out to dinner and have a few drinks with me last night. On our way to dinner and drinks, we're yapping and catching up on stuff and all of the sudden he slams on his brakes for a red light. I about died laughing!!! You could tell that everyone expected him to blow the light - not stop. And since I was cracking up laughing, they ended up laughing. New York drivers scare me. We get to lower Manhattan and park. There's some noice scenery right across from where we park - firemen (between them and a man in uniform....meow!!!) and then proceed to walk to the bar/grill. Meet a very sweet bartender from New Zealand who took really good care of us. Now, I'll fully admit that I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking, but I expected Jerm to be able to handle his alcohol. Don't know why, but I did. So...we're drinking, eating, and chatting with Paulie and a couple other skydivers and all of the sudden Jerm's rubbing his face. Hmmm....wonder what's going on. Jerm looks at me and says "I think I'm drunk." At this time, I'm not even buzzing. Jerm: Drink: sex on the beach Qty.: 4 Cora: Drink: Malibu & pineapple juice Qty: 4 hmmm...I'm not buzzing and Jerm's drunk. So, we end up leaving as I have to do that work thing tomorrow and he walks me to the subway so I can get back to my hotel. Once I'm safely into the subway area, he takes off and goes and meets his friends. I get on the subway heading back to where I'm staying and all of the sudden it hits me. Whew! Don't know what it was about the subway, but the 4 drinks I had caught up to me. Luckily, I get back to the hotel safely after navigating the subway system and am now trying to figure out the caffiene level needed to survive the day. Off to the Ranch this afternoon/early evening to hang out with Jerm...weather permitting, jumping on Sunday since Saturday's looking like crap. Love ya, Jerm! Couldn't resist posting this.
