been there, done that, got like 30 t-shirts........... i just don't skysurf anymore... i've started to get into the more exptream side of skydiving..... it's jumping with your pants on fire and the asbestos underwear is left in the plane...... to make it more interestig some times i take a small marsupial up under my shirt and let is try and run around me under canopy..... so far i've only gotten rabbies 3 times and lost 2 fingers........

When I 1st saw it on TV when I was 12 I really wanted to do it. At 16 I was told by the local dz I needed to be 18, so 2 years later I made my first jump. I knew that whole time I was going to love it... and it was even better then I thought it would be!! I don't know how or why I knew... I just did.

Why do I jump? For fun. Nothing beats bombing out that door!!

It doesn't hurt things that the sport looks cool tho. Better then loving and having fun at something that people think sucks.

How about seeing your rainbow halo on the mist below as you track right through your shadow!

I'll never forget jump 23, that's when I saw that for the first time. I feel privileged to be able to see stuff like that. How many humans have ever seen that with their own eyes. If that's not cool, I don't know what is.

I maintain 'fun' is an OK reason ... though as I thnk about it 'cool' may not necessarily have the same meaning as fun to everyone.

absolutely 'fun' is a good reason.. it is reason enoug to try everything/anything once, if you enjoy it try it again... if the sky becomes a deeper blue and you cant think of anything other than being in the air whenever you are outside.... sell all your possessions and move to the DZ
