AlexV 0 #1 November 20, 2008 Hello, I have a Barigo skydiving altimeter produced in 2006, I think. I want to replace the lens, I took out the mechanism from the metal casing by unscrewing the two screwers but now I cannot open it to take out the lens. I don't want to use excessive force so what method should I use to take out the lens? Thank you
Grumpy 9 #2 November 20, 2008 My Barigo was older ('97) but I think it's still the same design. Remove the wrist mount webbing (of course), remove the two tiny screws, hold the alti facing you, with your fingers under the parts that the wrist mount goes through and push the face with your thumbs. The whole unit just pops out the back. (Do this over a table ) That's all I did. I also rotated it 90 degrees when I put it back so the "0" is straight up, not pointing towards 3 o clock. AlexV 0 #3 November 20, 2008 Thank you for your answer. I did it before with older Barigo altis but this is newer and different. I "poped the whole unit out" but the lens is still attached and can't be removed.
Calvin19 0 #5 March 14, 2013 Hey friends, I have a newer (~2010 I think) Barigo altimeter and the three of the four screws fell out. Anyone have any idea where I can find them? I have tried a few hardware/fastenall stores and supposedly these screws are "hand made in switzerland".
