powered parachute

Actually there was a little wind form the south and we got up in less than a 100 feet. I would say we landed in about the same distance.

I can't wait to go again, maybe later this week. The guy that took me was looking for a place to take off and land and my newly cut hay fields work just fine.;)

Good point!:D

You can get a decent Chief, Champ, Cessna 150, etc. for the price of a PPC though. Those things run $15k+ new from what I've seen. Maintenance on the Rotax engines is salty too.

For my money, I'd rather have a Champ or something I could fly in higher wind conditions. Either way, low & slow is a fun way to go!

It must be noted that they are only allowed to fly after jumping has ceased for the day.

Is that a change; I swear I saw it being flown over on the other side of the runway a few weeks ago during a jump?

His chute was built by some company I had never heard of. It was one of the first things that I looked at.;)
The ride was the only entertainment I had all day Sunday though.:| I have way too much too do, and want to get up to the DZ this weekend. Besides I need to get all caught up before Batavia Boogie, now just a month away.:)
