Brian425 0 #1 June 6, 2005 So I am in the market for a new beater watch. You know, one for the DZ, jet ski, drunken incidents, etc. Any recommendations? I'm looking to spend around $100. Not concerned about digital or analog. It must be able to take a beating. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand. allrightscud 0 #2 June 6, 2005 Any Swatch would do the trick and you get them in any design you fancy. I usually get one every 6 months or so as they are cheap and you can change the design to match your mood. Currently I like the second skin range. They are ultra thin. Have a look at www.swatch.com Too much is never enough! All right scud?
wingnut 0 #3 June 6, 2005 well as they say... timex, it takes a licking and keeps on ticking........ 30-40 bucks and you have a decent watch for "sport" wear, for a dresier lok you couldalways go for a fosil, mine has lasted through alot of stuff.. and still looks alright to wear with nice but not realy dressy cloths.... all deepends on the style though too.... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"

Bolas 5 #5 June 6, 2005 Don't you normally have your phone with you? Ever since I got a pager and or cel phone I've seen no need for a watch.Stupidity if left untreated is self-correcting If ya can't be good, look good, if that fails, make 'em laugh. I can glance at my watch during a meeting or conversation without being too rude.

wmw999 2,439 #8 June 6, 2005 Heck, I didn't spend $100 on my "good" watch. My beater cost $5.96 at Wal-mart, and it's been find for the last year and a half or so through skydiving and a lot of sweat. Dunno about waterproofness, I don't use it in the water, but I'm sure there are inexpensive options. For $100 I can run through a lot of $5.96 watches Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)
okalb 104 #9 June 6, 2005 If you want a beater that is indestructable, you can't beat the Casio G-Shock. They range from like $60 to $120.Time flies like an arrow....fruit flies like a banana

My cheapo Casio has over 1500 jumps on it.... The only sure way to survive a canopy collision is not to have one.
