freeflynick 0 #26 June 2, 2005 BILLY CONNELLY!!! The Big Yin.......without question the best comedian ever to grace the stage.......pure, natural genius. I think the Americans have a bad impression of him from a sit-com he was in called "Head of the Class" or something, which was supposed to be pretty lame. If Robin Williams (in his prime) said Billy was the funniest man he's ever met, that is a pretty good indication...... Hobbes: "How come we play 'War' and not 'Peace'?" Calvin: "Too few role models." rwieder 0 #27 June 2, 2005 QuoteWithout him Eddie wouldn't be a dad, because he never would have gotten laid. Chris Rock would be a really funny stock boy at the Gap, and Chris Tucker. ......well let's just pretend he still never made it. And he co-wrote the funniest movie ever. (See: Funniest Movie thread.) Rudy Ray Moore was truly gited in his craft. But to be aware of him, you would have to have just "Been There" a lot of people aren't even aware of Rudy. We used to listen to him offshore in the 70's, man he was a scream!-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

BillyVance 34 #31 June 2, 2005 You know, I remember a few years ago there was a Deaf Night out at the Comedy Club in Birmingham. Several of my deaf friends and I went. We even had a sign language interpreter on stage with the standup comedians. The last one, a well known but old as shit Cajun, was well into his routine when he steps over to the interpreter, puts his arm around him and asks who he's interpreting for. He points to us "they're all deaf". Then the comedian gives us all the finger! I know he was trying to be funny, but I don't think it went over too well with my group... Hell, we were all standing outside the club after the night was done, and we saw this comedian walk out, tipped his hat to us and walk to his car. On a strange impulse, I flipped him the bird after he'd turned his back on us and a couple of my friends were trying to shush me up, saying the security guards at the entrance saw the whole thing... masterrig 1 #37 June 2, 2005 Robin Wiliams, has un-doubtedly, the fastest and funniest mind going. I've read and heard that, in his comedy movies, most of what he says on screen is ad-lib. Chuck

Chuck Robin is far from being a foul-mouthed comedian, but I agree that he has a brilliant mind for fast-paced comedy. The movie "Good Morning Vietnam" is arguably proof of that. If you had said that every word spoken in that movie, hell even 50%, was in the script, I would have said "bullshit"... masterrig 1 #39 June 2, 2005 Oh, I don't know! Some of Robin's earlier stuff was laced with a lot of profanity. Not to the level of Richard Pryor but, he said his share. Robin williams once had a rather large piece of property North of L.A. Over the entrance in wrought iron was; "The Fuckin' Ranch". Yes... neighbors complained and he removed it.
